Cosmic Consequences: A Dark Sci-Fi Anthology

Our space-tacular artist, Nicole Alessi, has created some super cool wallpapers for you to download! You should have received a link from BackerKit that will take you right to the download page. There are two different illustrations, and each illustration is available in both landscape and portrait orientation. The spacesuit layout features the hapless astronaut whose helmet graces the cover of Cosmic Consequences. The Ananke illustration is based on the story of the same name by T. Lane. I think both are awesome!

Cosmic Consequences is now available to the public! If you enjoy the anthology, please consider leaving a review online. As a micro-press, reviews are super helpful is spreading the word about our books!

The BackerKit campaign for After the Hurt starts on September 10 and runs through October 1. This anthology explores the effects of whump: trauma, grief, healing, and recovery. You can check out the campaign here.

Hello awesome backers!

I received the first box of books yesterday and have started shipping out orders. That means that the Cosmic Consequences ebook is now available! You should have received an email from BackerKit with the link to login to your account and download your ebook. This is our longest anthology yet, being over 410 pages (128,000 words) long! I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed editing it.

So far I've sent out packages for people who just ordered the CC paperback. If you ordered any books in addition to CC, your package will be mailed either this weekend or early next week.

Surveys will be landing in your inbox shortly. Please fill them out as soon as you can! If you ordered ebook add-ons, they will be distributed once your survey is completed. The ebook for Cosmic Consequences will be sent out once shipping for the paperbacks begins.

The anthology is chugging along, we're currently waiting on the paperback proof copy. And Nicole is hard at work on downloadable wallpapers! Our preorder store is now open, so if you know anybody who missed the initial campaign, they can still grab the anthology and add-ons.

Our initial goal was to have the books shipping by the end of the month. However, it looks like we're gonna have to push that until mid to late August. It will take a couple weeks for the proof to arrive, and then after that, another few weeks for the entire paperback order to arrive from the printer. Additionally, I will be having a medical procedure at the beginning of August and will be out of commission for a couple weeks.

But never fear! There are still plenty of whumpy books to check out. I want to highlight Rattler's Moon: A Starslinger Tale by Kras Nebula.



Alida Perez had been living on her own for so long she was convinced that nothing could shake her anymore. She’d spent the last few decades building her farm out of the dead of the Wastes, and she’d seen it all: bandits, dust storms, rich folks from the next town over trying to buy out her farm to gain access to the mysterious flowers growing there. It’s a hard battle to fight, though, when gumption goes up against a monstrous snake appearing out of nowhere, size fit to eat the moon. Or will this finally be the thing to drive Alida from her land?

This is a post-apocalyptic weird west novella starring an immortal nonbinary gunslinger. The Starslinger Tales are all standalones, so you don't have to read the previous book to enjoy this one. Rattler's Moon releases on July 21, and you can preorder the ebook and/or paperback right in your survey! Also, all paperback orders will come with an exclusive map postcard of the Wastes, featuring original art by Nicole Alessi.

And if you are a whumpy anthology fan, we will be running another crowdfunding campaign for After the Hurt, our anthology exploring the effects of whump. We're currently open to story submissions for this anthology (if you're an author, you can submit here), and we've received some fantastic stories so far! Hello stellar (pun intended) backer!

The campaign has wrapped up, and we hit our first stretch goal! That means that all backers will receive exclusive downloadable wallpapers designed by our cover artist, Nicole Alessi. She's still working on them, but believe me when I say they're super cool!

Proofreading is almost finished, and I should be sending the proofread stories out to the authors for final approval this week. It looks like we're on track for the book to be at the printer by mid to late July.

Surveys will be coming out either late this week or early next week, so keep your eye on your email.
